A new large piece

Lately, I’ve been permitting myself to work on large pieces. Being able to stretch out and work on brush strokes and composition has helped me through the winter. I know there are a lot more days to this season, but I feel like I’m at least halfway through

I had about five pink sticky notes on the back of this one because I’ve recently noticed I am starting to find I am running out of good titles and have to spend time coming up with good ones. They’re not as obvious as they used to be.

I made a few videos of the process and will link them here.

The painting has been varnished and is hanging in my entryway to dry thoroughly. It’s a grand size and overpowers the tiny space, but somewhere there is a wall this painting will grace, and will be spectacular. Just up ahead.
