This year during Fall Arts 2018, in celebration of being represented by one of the finest galleries for traditional Western Art, I’ll be painting on the street near the home of Victor Higgins. During my research, I have found many paintings I recognize as I stroll through the gallery and grounds of Parsons Gallery of the West on Kit Carson Road.

It’s an iconic location and I am thrilled to be planning my first outing of the famous Fall Arts season in Taos as an artist and not an arts writer.
I’ve already staked out a couple of familiar locations in the courtyard between the gallery and the old Cafe Tazza. I might even bring my guitar and take a break from painting from time to time.
The courtyard next door, between the Parsons Gallery of the West and Total Arts is another gorgeous location with lots of potential spots for compositions.
I noticed when I was in the office signing in some new work, that they have the old Taos Book Shop sign, which made me instantly nostalgic.
I’ll be painting outside, for sure, Sunday, Sept. 23rd and then Sunday the 20th. I may try to set up other days, but I am committing to those two Sundays, for sure. I have not narrowed down the time but much depends on the weather.
